Purpose – This purpose of this study is to identify the factors contributing to innovation resistance among casino employees for digital transformation and examines the moderating role of digital literacy between innovation resistance factors and actual resistance.
Design, data, and methodology – This study is designed to highlight the necessity of digital transformation training program to reduce innovation resistance within casino organization. Data were collected through an online survey of employees at a foreigner-only casino.
Result – The findings show that both perceived characteristics of innovation and the user characteristics significantly influence innovation resistance, and digital literacy moderates the impact of resistance factors on innovation resistance.
Conclusions – It provides theoretical support for the importance of digital literacy in mitigating resistance to digital transformation, offering practical implications for the strategic management of human resources in digitally evolving casino enterprises.
