韓國의 地籍行政에 관한 硏究 = A Study on Korean Cadastre Administration

It goes without saying that land Is very important as it is one of the basic elements comprising not only nation but becomes essential part to human life. And cadsare administra-tion, a land management system has played an important role in the nation's development policy. Moreover, the urbanization resulting from rapId progress of the society has raised many problems In land and has increasingly drawn our concerns.
Accordingly the improvement of land system has been required for the Increasing interest of the people in the land.
At present the current cadastre administration, which was enacted under the Japanese colonial rule (1910-1945), has been conducted without any reform or revision on the land system.
Therefore new cadastre administration system came to berequired to develop progressive land system which is able to assure land ownership of the people and to bring convenience to officials handling cadastre. This study is focused on the relationship between welfare system and cadastre administration.
This study carries out the survey on Korea's cadastre administration by dividing into three period: before 1896, 1896-1945, after 1945. This study also compared Korea's tradltional land system with ones of foreign advanced countries (Swiss, West Gennany, Faance, Sweden, Japanese and China.).
Finally, this study touches on the problems resulting from current cadastre administration and suggests ways to improve it. Such problems in a land system as registration, cadastre related studies and experts on the cadastre are discussed in the study.
Hereafter this study points, as ways to Improve the current land system, unifying of cadastre and registration, cadastral survey and introduction of multi-purpose cadastre system.
Computerization of cadastre, public confidence and establish-ment of cadastre study institute are also those ways to expect improved land system.
