코로나19 유행으로 인한 언어재활서비스의 환경변화와 원격언어재활서비스 = Changes in the Language Rehabilitation Service Environment Due to the Prevalence of COVID-19; and Telepractice Services

The global spread of the COVID-19 virus has changed the say of life of many people, which has also affected the language rehabilitation service environment. Due to the spread of social distancing, the method of telepractice service is gradually attracting attention. The purpose of this study was to investigate changes in the field of language rehabilitation services due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the perceptions of speech-language pathologists regarding telepractice services.
For this purpose, a qualitative study was conducted through individual in-depth interviews with 8 speech-language pathologists. The study participants selected speech-language pathologists from Daegu and Gyongbuk, who had experience in speech therapy before the outbreak of COVID-19. As a result of analyzing the data collected after the interview, there are three main themes: ‘Change in language rehabilitation services due to the COVID-19 outbreak’, ‘ Telepractice services’, and ‘Prediction and preparation for the language rehabilitation service environment after COVID-19’, and 9 sub-themes, 126 concepts were derived.
Due to the epidemic of COVID-19, speech-language pathologists were able to find out what changes they experienced in the field of language rehabilitation services in detail. This study is meaningful in that it is a useful research data amid the growing need for remote language rehabilitation services due to the spread of infectious diseases, and will be helpful as basic data for the development of telepractice services.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

코로나19 바이러스의 전 세계적인 확산은 많은 사람의 삶의 방식을 변화시켰고 이는 언어재활서비스 환경에도 영향을 미쳤다. 사회적 거리 두기의 확산으로 원격언어재활서비스의 방식이 점차 주목을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 코로나19 유행으로 인한 언어재활서비스 현장의 변화와 원격언어재활서비스에 관한 언어재활사들의 인식에 대해 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다.
이를 위하여 언어재활사 8인과의 개별 심층면담을 통해 질적연구를 진행했다. 연구참여자는 코로나19 발생 이전부터의 언어치료 경력이 있는 대구·경북의 언어재활사를 선정했다. 면담 후 수집한 자료를 분석한 결과 ‘코로나19 유행으로 인한 언어재활서비스의 변화’, ‘원격언어재활서비스’, ‘코로나19 이후 언어재활서비스 환경에 대한 예측과 대비’ 총 3개의 대주제와 하위주제 9개, 126개의 개념이 도출되었다.
코로나19의 유행으로 인해 언어재활사는 언어재활서비스 현장에서 어떤 변화를 경험하였는지를 알아보고 원격언어재활서비스의 발전 방향에 대해 구체적으로 탐색할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 전염병의 확산으로 원격언어재활서비스에 대한 필요가 높아지고 있는 가운데 유용한 연구 자료라는 점에서 의의가 있으며 원격언어재활서비스의 발전에 기초자료로 도움이 될 것을 기대한다.
