할레 경건주의 해석학 : 프랑케를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

독일 경건주의는 그 시기나 활동영역이 넓고 포괄적이어서 정의를 내리기가 쉽지 않다. 그러나 종교개혁의 정신을 계승하였을 뿐만 아니라, 18세 기계몽주의와 합리주의의 도전과 급격한 사회변화 가운데서 성경에 기반을 둔 기독교와 경건한 신앙생활을 위한 토대를 마련해주었다는 사실은 부정할 수 없다.
그런 관점에서 이 논문은 할레 경건주의의 성경해석학을 다룬다. 할레대학은 보편 해석학과 신학적 해석학이 다양한 학자들의 사상과 논쟁을 거쳐 이후 18세기에 해석학의 역사에 중요한 역할을 감당하는 중심지가 되었다. 해석사의 관점에서 할레대학은 과도기신학-신신학(Neologie)-신학적 합리 주의의 제단계를 밟았다. 이런 출발점에 할레대학의 설립자인 아우구스트 헤르만 프랑케의 성서해석을 위한 논문들이 매우 중요하게 작용했기에 이를 중심으로 논문을 전개했다. 이를 통해 결론적으로 다양한 개념과 사상들이 난무하는 것처럼 보여도 내적인 논리정연성이 계승되고 있음을 보게 된다. 즉, 해석학의 새로운 구상은 전통적인 개신교 성경원리가 문화적으로 변화된 기본조건에 부합되도록 하려는 의도에서 등장했다고 볼 수 있 다. 그래서 경건주의적인 신앙심의 개혁과 대학의 철학적인 합리주의 또는 근대의 역사적인 인식의 기원은 서로 다른 바탕 위에 서 있는 것이 아니라, 변화하는 사회와 세계 속에서 정당성을 찾으려는 시도로 보아야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

German Pietism is not easy to define since its period or own field is too broad and comprehensive. And yet, one cannot deny that German Pietism has inherited the spirit of Reformation and laid the foundation for Living and Faithful Christian based on the Bible in the middle of rapid social change and challenge of Enlightenment and Rationalism in 18’s century.
In that perspective, this study covers Halle Pietism and Biblical Hermeneutics. Halle University became the stronghold that plays important role in Hermeneutic History in 18’s century after General Hermeneutic and Theological Hermeneutics going through many different scholar’s ideas and disputes. In the standpoint of Hermeneutic History, Halle University took three steps of Transitional Theology-New Theology-Theological Rationalism. The study of August Hermann Francke, the founder of Halle University, on Biblical Hermeneutic has significantly functioned in this regard. Though it seems that lots of different concepts and ideas are rife, there inherits internal coherence in Hermeneutic. The new conception of Hermeneutic emerged in the intention that traditional Protestantism’s principle of bible be adhered with basic conditions that culturally changed. Pietism Reformation and University’s Philosophical Rationalism or the origin of historical perception should not be recognized in the different backgrounds but seen as attempts to find legitimacy in changing society and the world.
