탈식민주의 시각에서의 정전 재구성

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis examined reconstruction of the canon of korean modern novel in respect of postcolonialism. Postcolonialism implies the third location that examines the space beyond the opposition between imperialism of the West and nationalism of the colonized. This location is generated from the Other`s position of the colonized. Korean modern novel has evolved from that location of the Other. For example, the novels in early 1920`s represented the heroes who experienced agony and nervousness in location of the Other. These works were almost Confession novels and Formation novels. And the nervousness of heroes of those novels mean the failure of accommodation to the structure of oedipus forded by imperialism. But the heroes of those novels have recovered the position of subject from the location of the Other in latter 1920`s and early 1920`s. For example, Yum Sang-Sub`s Love and Crime, Yee Ki-Yung`s Suwha and Kang Kyung-Ae`s Human Problem represented the heroes who recovered the position of subject from the location of the Other. This means that the heroes of those novels acquire love and solidarity out of the structure of oedipus forded by imperialism. This desire of anti-oedipus which presents the desire of love and reconciliation is much the same the postmodern idea of the West. But the postmodern idea of the West does not acquire the location of the love and solidarity, and discovers only schizophrenia out of the structure oedipus. Thus, we must recognize the difference between the two, to reconstruct the canon of korean modern novel in respect of postcolonialism.
