부산의 독립유공자 공훈록 분석 = Analysis of independence patriots` List of merits in Busan

Reward for men of merit for independence movement is currently presenting in various categories 5 levels of Order of Merit for National Foundations; Republic of Korea Medal, Presidential Medal, National Medal, Patriotism Medal, National Pride Medal, and National Foundation Medal, Presidential Citation by the Republic of Korea. The number of patriots who have been awarded by September 2016 was 14,562 people including 30 people were conferred Republic of Korea Medal. As the level of award goes down, the number of conferment increases. These conferment of independence patriots are proceeding well since the Order of Merit for National Foundation in 1949 and Awards and Decorations Act in 1963 was established. There has been an explosive increase of award for the independence patriots after 1990 to each timing this is because A Military Hocheong, which was founded in 1950, was renamed Veterans Affairs in 1987 and work of merit and prize has been actively conducted. Also, since Independence Hall was built and there was History of Immigration Institute, the researches of independence and the Korea veterans were being carried out and peoples` interest raised in the history of independence movement. Men of national merit are classified into several categories by March 1st Movement, resistance to Japan, provisional government activities, civilian army activity. A largest proportion of them are Korean Independence Fighters of March 1stMovement.Byregion, Gyeongsang province has independence patriotsmost who were conferreld due to its regional peculiarity. Also there is the big part to patriot who can not know their hometown. This shows that more research about an individual should be conducted. This study is to analyze conferment for 115 independence patriots by series of movements and period of conferment based on historical data. Reward for men of merit for March 1stMovement in Busan was the highest, just like the number of patriots throughout the country and in the 1990s, it is significantly increased. In analyzing historical data about independence patriots, it has various problems. To solve them, we need not only more conferment and reward, but also comp rehensive researches about independence patriots from a variety of perspectives.
