보호관찰청소년의 비행과 정신건강과의 관계 및 부모양육행동의 영향력 = The relation between the mental health and the delinquency of adolescent under probation and the influence of parenting

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 보호관찰청소년의 비행이 정신건강과 상관관계가 있는가를 살펴보고 부모양육행동이 정신건강에 어떻게 영향을 미치는가를 밝히고자 하였다. 인구사회학적 배경변인, 친구관계를 고려한 상태에서 보호관찰청소년의 정신건강에 미치는 부모양육행동의 순수 영향력을 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 99년 7월 1일부터 8월 31일 기간 동안 서울시와 2개 중소도시의 보호관찰소에서 부모와 함께 사는 만 12∼14세를 대상으로 설문지 방식으로 실시하였으며, 최종 연구대상자는 154명이었다. 측정도구는 부모양육행동척도와 K- YSR을 사용하였다. 연구결과 보호 관찰청소년의 비행은 우울/불안, 위축, 신체증상과 각각 유의미한 상관관계를 나타내어 청소년의 비행이 정신건강과 밀접한 관련이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 어머니 양육행동 중 통제는 정신건강 하위변인 모두에 유의미한 영향력을 나타냈지만, 친밀감 및 합리성, 과잉보호, 방임과 같은 다른 양육행동요인은 통계적 영향력이 없었다. 아버지 양육행동의 경우 통제요인이 신체 증상, 위축에 영향력이 있었으나, 우울/불안에 의미 있는 영향력을 나타내지 않았다. 인구사회학적 배경변인, 친구관계를 고려한 상태에서 부모양육행동이 보호관찰청소년의 정신건강에 미치는 순수 영향력을 살펴본 결과, 아버지, 어머니의 통제, 아버지의 친밀감 및 합리성의 영향력이 통제하기 전보다 다소 감소하였으나, 여전히 유의미한 변인으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 어머니, 아버지의 통제, 아버지의 친밀감 및 합리성은 비행청소년의 정신건강에 영향력 있는 변인이라고 말할 수 있다. 따라서 보호관찰청소년의 정신건강증진과 더불어 비행의 재범을 예방하기 위한 상담 프로그램 및 부모교육 프로그램의 개발이 활성화되어야 하겠다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated the correlation between the mental health and the delinquency of adolescent under probation and what influences their parents` upbringing behaviors exert on their mental health. Therefore, a research questionnaire was distributed to delinquent juveniles from July 1 to Aug. 31, 1999 to see influences of parental upbringing behaviors upon the mental health of probationary adolescents. The subjects were 175 juveniles age under 12 w 14 at one probation center in Seoul and at the other center in a small city. Among them, 153 were selected as final subjects. For measurement, parenting scale and K-YSR were used and in analyzing data, ratio analysis, correlation, stepwise multiple regression were conducted with SPSS/PC+. As a result of research, it was revealed that there is a high correlation between juvenile delinquency and mental health and among parenting behaviors control variable exerts a statistically significant influence. Therefore, counseling and parenting education programs must be activated for promoting the mental health and decreasing of the delinquency among younger generation under probation.
