This research is on the unique media traits an exterior bus advertising can have. In other words, the difference in effect in whether or not the exterior bus advertising message and creativity is met with its unique characteristics (e.g. steel, look-through window etc.). For this study, a 2×2 factorial design implementing a well-known brand(Pepsi) and a not-so well-known brand(Seattle Mariners Team), each in two situations of one taking into consideration the media traits and the other not, has been carried out. In each cell, 60 university students have been randomly allocated, resulting in 214 samples. The results were that subjects exposed to advertisements which had the media traits had significantly high attitude toward advertising. In addition, there were significant attitude toward advertising differences between those with active reaction and those with non-active reactions. However, there weren't many differences in the advertising effect between the well-known brands and the not-so well-known brands. This was because Pepsi, although a well-known brand, wasn't the individual's preference, thus recognized as a negatively friendly brand.
