박목월의 동시적 상상력 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 박목월의 동시적 상상력을 살핀 글이다. 이 글은 목적을 달성하기 위해 동시 텍스트의 확정 작업이 필요하다는 점을 강조하며 시작하였다. 그의 동시 연구가 미진한 이유는 텍스트에 대한 체계적인 정리가 이루어지지 않았다는 점에 있다. 그의 사후로부터 시일이 경과했음에도 불구하고, 동시의 원본비평이 이루어지 않았으며, 각종 자료들이 정리되지 않았다. 이에 이 글에서는 선행 연구 들이 지닌 한계를 극복하기 위해 그의 시와 동시를 교차 인용하며 양자의 상관성 을 탐색하고, 궁극적으로 그의 시세계를 이루고 있는 동시적 요소를 강조하였다.
그에게 동시는 ‘심혼(心魂)의 고향’이었다. 그는 동시에서 습득한 시적 기법 들을 활용하여 독특한 시세계를 구축하였고, 그 세계는 동시적 상상력의 외연과 내포로 이루어졌다. 그러므로 동시는 박목월의 시세계에 진입하기 위한 전단계 이면서, 동시에 시 자체였다. 그의 시는 동시적 상상력에 기반하고 있다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 그의 동시적 상상력은 세계에서 그를 구원하는 원동력으로 작용 하는 동시에, 시대와의 불화에서 파생한 시인의 불만족스러운 영혼을 위로하여 새로운 세계로 진입하는 계기를 제공해주었다.
그는 한국전쟁의 충격 속에서 경상방언을 활용하여 고향의 원초적 세계를 옹호하였다. 그의 방언 사용은 고향에 대한 유별난 추억에서 기인하였다. 그는 경주의 역사적 의미에 애정을 보이면서 과거지향적 시간관을 지니게 되었다. 그의 시에서 구어적(oral) 세계를 노래한 작품이 다량으로 검출되는 이유도 이런 시간관에서 비롯된 것이다. 그의 고향의식은 시적 이상향으로 확대되면서 환상 의 공간으로 변주되었다. 그곳은 자연이었으며, 지고지순한 짐승들이 거주하는 순수의 공간이다. 이것은 그의 시세계가 동시적 상상력에 의해 구축되었음을 입증해준다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper is a review of the children’s verse type imagination of Park Mok-wol. This paper starts from underlining the need of the establishment of children’s verse text for attaining the goal. There has been not much research into his children’s verse because there was no systematic organization of his text. Although time has passed since he passed away, there has been no critics of the original script of a children’s verse, and many materials were left unorganized. Therefore, in order to overcome the limitations of the existing studies, this paper seeks the correlation of his poem and children’s verse by citing them crossly, and stresses children’s verse type factors that constitute his poetic world ultimately.
To him, children’s verse was the “hometown of heart and soul”. He built a unique poetic world by utilizing poetic techniques acquired from a children’s verse, and the world comprised the extension and connotation of children’s verse type imagination. Therefore, a children’s verse was like a pre-stage for penetrating into Park Mok-wol’s poetic world, and was a poem itself simultaneously. It is not too much to say that his poem is based on children’s verse type imagination. His children’s verse type imagination worked as a driver of salvaging him from the world, and at the same time, offered an opportunity to penetrate into the new world while consoling the poet’s dissatisfied spirit derived from the feud with his days.
He supported the instinctive world of hometown by employing Gyeongsang dialect amid the shock of the Korean War. His use of dialect was originated from the distinctive memory of his hometown. He came to have a past-oriented view of time while showing affection toward the historical meaning of Gyeongju. Many of his poems sing about the oral world because of such a view of time. His awareness of hometown has been extended to poetic utopia, and varied into the fantastic space. The space was nature, and it was the space of innocence where supremely innocent wild animals live. This demonstrates that his poetic world was constructed by children’s verse type imagination.
