The purpose of this study intends to examine the formation of high school students' ego-identity, and helps them to establish positive ego-identity. Accordingly, this study is focused on offering more meaningful source for the guidance of high school students by analyzing high school students' ego-identity.
This study can be concluded as follows :
First, there was a significant difference about ego-identity between academic high school students and technical high school students. In the six sub-items, self-subjectivity, self-acceptance, a firm belief of future, goal-directness, intimity, self-assertiveness, the academic high school students were higher than the technical high school students. That is, the academic high school students remain higher in the change of inner consciousness.
Second, there is no significant difference about ego-identity between male and female high school students. In sub-items, self-subjectivity, self-acceptance, a firm belief of future, there is no significant difference between male and female students.
Interpreting and discussing the analyzed results by means of findings of theoretical backgrounds and precedent studies.
