This article tracked how the employment agency changed through the Japanese colonial era. In addition, we looked at what role the employment agency played at the time and how much influence it had on colonial society. The first employment agency was the Incheon Christian Youth Association, which opened in 1911. The employment agency was established in each region from the 1920s, and the current status was different for each data. The performance of employment agencies is significantly different compared to that of the 1920s and 1930s. The cause lies in the large-scale construction carried out by the Great Depression. Relief construction for the poor, The business of emergent situation were implemented to relieve the poor and concentrated in the central and southern regions. The business of worker's transfer introduction moved surplus labor from the southern part of the country to the northern part of the country. As a result, the employment agency has turned into a labor supply and demand regulator. In the late 1930s when the Sino-Japanese War broke out, the employment agency became important, and in 1940 legislation related to the employment agency was established. However, control was abolished in 1943 because the employment agency did not meet labor demand. It seems that the employment agency did not have a significant impact on colonial Joseon because the number of employed people through employment agencies was very small.
