예배에 있어서 ‘연속적 읽기와 설교’ = The Lectio Contunua Tradition of the Reading and Preaching the Scriptures

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글에서 필자가 주장하고자 하는 바는 ‘성경에 대한 연속적 읽기(lectio continua)와 강해 전통’의 회복이다. 종교개혁시대를 생각하면‘선택적 읽기’ (lectio selecta)와 ‘연속적 읽기’(lectio continua)는 상호 대립적인 것이었다. 로마 가톨릭 예전으로 정착된 교회력(敎會曆)과의 상관성 속에서‘선택적 읽기’와 비교해보면 ‘연속적 읽기’는 종교개혁적 예배에서 당위라고 할 수 있다. 이와 같은 이해 속에서 먼저 개혁자들이 왜 교회력에 따른 예배와 설교를 거부하고 ‘성경을 연속적으로 읽고 강해하는 것’을 강조하면서 예배 양식과 설교의 개혁에로 나아갔는지를 말하고, 이런 “연속적 읽기”전통의 현대적 적용방법을 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this article I made a very strong case that we should recover and reuse the lectio contitua method in our reading the Scriptures and preaching. In the Reformation era, the lectio selecta and the lectio contitua method were mutually anti-thetical method of reading the Scriptures and preaching. I examined, therefore, why the reformers of the Reformed tradition abandoned the lectio selecta method and adopted the lectio continua method instead. Then I made it clear why this lectio continua method should be honored even in our days. So I proposed several ways in which we can recover the lectio continua method of reading the Scriptures and preaching.
