국문 초록 (Abstract)

데페이즈망은 르네상스 이후 계몽주의가 보여주었던 이성 중심, 이성의 절대성을 거부하면서 무한에 대한 동경, 무의식의 탐구 등을 위해 고안해 낸 초현실주의의 대표적 표현양식이다. 시간과 공간을 초월한 배치를 통해 우리에게 경이와 충격을 안겨주는 데페이즈망은 애니메이션과도 밀접한 관계가 있다. 이는 창조적 배치를 전제로 하는 애니메이션과 일맥상통하기 때문이다. 따라서 데페이즈망은 초현실주의의 대표적인 예술기법 중 하나인 동시에 애니메이션과 필연적인 연결고리를 갖는 양식이다. 스미스의 작품 〈Heaven and Earth Magic〉은 이러한 데페이즈망의 특성을 잘 반영한 흥미로운 작품으로 무수한 오브제로 이루어져 관객에게 초현실적 공간의 특성을 지각하도록 만든 작품이다.

Depaysement the typical style of surrealism invented for the excavation of unconsciousness, seeking for the infinity while denying the absolute rationality and eagerness towards reason Enlightenment pursued after Renaissance. Depaysemant has given us marvel and shock by positioning object over the time and space, has close relationship with animation. For animation has the property of requirement of creative positioning of objects. Depaysemant is one of the most characteristic expression technique of Surrealism while having inevitable linkage between animation. Heaven and Earth Magic is the very interesting work of art reflecting the characteristic of Depaysement, conformed of numerous objects, giving the viewers of the surrealistic space.
