스마트워크의 가능성과 한계: 취업 준비생의 관점에 대한 Q방법론의 적용 = The Potential and Limitations of Smart Work: Application of Q Methodology from the Perspective of Undergraduate Students Preparing for Employment

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 탄소 중립 실현을 위한 다양한 전략 중 하나로 주목받고 있는 스마트워크에 대한 대학생들의인식을 탐구한다. 전 세계적으로 환경 보호와 지속 가능한 발전에 대한 관심이 높아지면서, 기업들은탄소 배출 감소를 위한 여러 방안을 찾고 있다. 스마트워크는 이러한 노력의 일환으로, 코로나 팬데믹을기점으로 빠르게 확산되었다. 유연근무제, 워케이션과 같은 다양한 스마트워크 형태는 업무 효율성을증대시키고, 일과 삶의 균형을 강화하며, 출퇴근에 따른 탄소 배출을 줄이는 긍정적인 효과를 가져왔다.
그러나 시간이 지나면서 업무 몰입도 저하, 비대면 소통의 어려움, 근무 경계의 모호성 등은 직원들의피로감을 증가시키는 등 스마트워크의 단점 또한 부각되었다. 이에, 일부 기업들은 다시 재택근무를줄이거나 중단하고 있다. 본 연구는 취업을 준비 중인 대학생들의 시각에서 스마트워크에 대한 인식을분석하였다. 대학생들이 미래의 직장에서 스마트워크를 어떻게 바라보는지, 그들이 스마트워크의장점과 단점에 대해 어떤 생각을 가지고 있는지를 Q방법론을 통해 조사하였다. 이를 통해 대학생들이어떤 요인을 중시하며, 스마트워크가 그들의 취업 결정이나 직무 만족도에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를파악하였다. 본 연구는 조직 관리자들이 스마트워크를 보다 효과적으로 도입하고 운영할 수 있는전략 수립에 기여할 수 있을 것이다. 대학생들의 인식을 이해함으로써, 기업은 구성원 맞춤형 스마트워크정책을 통해 업무 효율성을 극대화하고, 더 나아가, 지속 가능한 경영을 실현할 수 있는 기반을 마련할수 있을 것이다.

This study investigates undergraduate students' perceptions of smart work, a strategy gaining attention for its role in achieving carbon neutrality. As global interest in environmental protection and sustainable development grows, businesses are adopting various measures to reduce carbon emissions. Smart work, which includes remote work, flextime, and workations, has spread rapidly since the COVID-19 pandemic, offering advantages such as increased work efficiency, improved work-life balance, and reduced commuting- related emissions. However, disadvantages such as reduced work engagement, communication challenges, and blurred boundaries between work and personal life have surfaced, contributing to employee fatigue and decreased productivity. Consequently, some large corporations, like Amazon, have returned to an office-based work model. This study aimed to examine how students preparing for employment view smart work, its advantage and disadvantage through the Q methodology(Q-sorting). The research sought to identify which factors students prioritize and how smart work influences their job decisions and satisfaction. The findings are expected to help organizations develop more effective smart work strategies, maximizing efficiency and supporting ESG(Environmental, Social, Governance) goals by aligning policies with employee needs.
