    This paper is a historical phonemic analysis of the ‘內’ in the ancient literature. The ‘內’ which is a loan writing character is connected with ‘飛/??, @@/卜’. This connection will be appreciated by a historical view of Korean phonology. On the other hand the formative process of “??” which is the pronunciation of ‘內’ in Joseon dynasty is understanded by this study. According to this study the pronunciation of ‘內’ in ancient period is near [*nu], and [*nu] was replaced by Joseon pronunciation of “??(內)” which is formed in the late period of ancient Korean.
