This study aims to analyze Alfred Adler’s individual psychology from the perspective of reformed theology. Adler’s personal psychology is not a separate view of human life, but a study that understands a persons entire life by observing each individuals impulses, reactions and behaviors.
I considered the important points revealed in Alfred Adler’s individual psychology from the perspective of reformed theology as follows: Firstly, I tried to discuss Adler’s key ideas and important traces in relation to his individual psychology such as life style, inferiority complex and pursuit of superiority, separating with Sigmund Freud, and so forth. Secondly, I concentrated on significant points for common points and differences between Adler’s thoughts of individual psychology and reformed theology. In light of reformed theology, the subjects of considerable debate in Alfred Adler’s individual psychology are as follows: life style, social interest and relationship, holistic view of human beings. self-consciousness, pursuit of superiority, consistent change and advance, free will, creative self, moral neutrality, and so forth.
