      추출온도에 따른 국화과 3종의 항산화 및 항노화 활성 = Anti-oxidation and Anti-aging Activity of Three Compositae Species at Different Extraction Temperatures

      This study was conducted to determine the antioxidant and anti-aging activities of water-soluble compounds extracted from Inula Flos (IF), Chrysanthemi Flos (CSF) and Carthami Flos (CTF) at 25℃ and 80℃. The 80℃ CTF extract included soluble protein (386.44 mg/g), reducing sugar (101.27 mg/g), flavonoids (42.70 mg/g), and polyphenols (123.96 mg/g). The DPPH radical scavenging activities of all extracts were over 50% at 0.1 mg/mL; the 25℃ CTF extract showed a significantly higher effect than ascorbic acid at 1.0 mg/mL. Xanthine oxidase inhibition, SOD-like activity and tyrosinase inhibition of the 80℃ IF extract were 32.14%, 31.54%, and 42.01% at 2.0 mg/mL, respectively. The elastase and collagenase inhibition activities of the IF 80℃ extract were 34.67% and 31.40%, respectively. The nitrite scavenging abilities of 25℃ IF and CTF extracts along with 80℃ CSF and CTF extracts were over 95% (at 2 mL, pH 1.2), even higher than ascorbic acid; and nitrite scavenging ability of the 80℃ CTF extract was 87.30% (at 2 mL, pH 3.0), similar to ascorbic acid (87.36%). These results suggest that the 80℃ CTF extract contained useful compounds and IF is a potentially useful antioxidant and anti-aging source for the development of functional cosmetics.
