감각통합치료가 전반적 발달장애 아동의 자세조절과 손 기능에 미치는 영향 = The effects of Sensory Integration Intervention on Postural Control and Hand Function in Child with Pervasive Developmental Disorder

The purpose of the study is to find out how sensory integration(SI) intervention enhances hand function and postural control of children with pervasive developmental
disorder.
The subjects were 10 children, 5 of experimental group and 5 of control group with pervasive developmental disorder among 4-6years old children. They have
difficulty in sensory integration processing. The design of study was quasi experimental pretest-posttest control design. Each sensory integration treatment was offered
to the subjects for 10 weeks, twice a week for 40minutes in each session.
The sensory integration program focused on the activities for proprioceptive, vestibular, tactile processing. Hand function were measured was used to tested subcategory in BOT-2 and postural control ability were measured was used to tested by subcategory in DeGangi-Berk test. The results, Although this study has a limitation to generalize it as a small sample study, it will be suggest the evidence that sensory integration program positively showed the improvement of hand function and postural control of
children with pervasive developmental disorder.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 감각통합치료가 전반적인 발달장애 아동의 자세조절과 손 기능에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 전반적 발달장애 아동으로 감각통합에 문제가 있는 실험군 5명과 대조군 5명을 대상으로 시행하였다. 손 기능을 측정하기 위해 BOT-2 평가 도구의 하위항목인 미세운동 항목들을 사용하였고, 자세조절 능력을 측정하기 위해 DeGangi-Berk test의 하위항목 인 자세조절 항목들을 사용 하였다. 치료는 총 20회기로, 전정감각과 고유수용성감각, 촉각처리를 중심으로 한 감각통합치료를 개별 아동에 적합하게 적용하였다. 연구설계는 유사 실험설계 중 사전-사후 통제집단 연구(pretest-posttest control design)를 사용하였다. 감각통합치료 전ㆍ후 두 집단 간의 자세조절 능력과 손 기능의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 Mann-Whitney 검정을 사용하였고, 실험군의 감각통합치료 전ㆍ후 차이를 알아보기 위하여 Wilcoxon 부호검정을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 대조군에 비해 감각통합치료를 적용받은 전반적 발달장애아동의 손 기능과 자세조절 능력이 향상되어 감각통합치료가 손 기능과 자세조절능력 향상에 도움을 주는 것으로 나타났다.
