다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

With the increasing socioeconomic and cultural change as well as frequent social participation of women in recent Korean social setting, there arise inevitable increases in number of artificially fed infants.
Accordingly, great attention among pediatricians was paid to developmental state of these artificially fed infants, and various studies were done to these problems.
The purposes of the present study are mainly focussed at two distinct points: To determine the growth rate of infants fed by prepared milk powder and adequate weaning diet, and to compare the results with the data of the study on infants fed by whole milk powder and adequate weaning diet done by Choy et al. in 1973.
The subject infants selected in this study were all registered in the CAPOK, and all were artificially fed by the foster mothers. The total numbar of infants were 146, comprising 70 males and 76 females under 12 months of age.
The results were summarized as follws:
    1. Comparing the growth rate of infants fed by prepared milk powder with that of infants fed by whole milk power, the former was superior to the latter, by far superior especially during first three months of age. And after weaning stage of six months, the growth rate of both groups gradually approximated, and at the age of one year, no significant difference between both groups could be noticed.
    2. After two months of age in both sexes, the growth rate of infants in the present study, i.e. fed by prepared milk powder to Korean Standard growth data in terms of length and weight, which is well contrasted with comparative study where the growth rate of infants was superior after four to six months of age
    3. From above results, the authors could conclude that prepared milk powder feeding is superior to whole milk powder feeding in growth rate of infants, especially during first few months.
In addition, regular education of foster mother and adequate weaning diet, the authors believe, could improve the special slow growth during the weaning period in most of developing countries.
