생태관광 재방문에 미치는 영향요인 - 우포늪을 중심으로 - = Factors Influencing Ecotourists’ Return Visits - Focusing on the Upo Wetlands -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to analyze the effects of ecological resources, facilities, activities, environmental consciousness, and satisfaction on repeat visitation in order to provide answers to the questions on 'how are ecotourists' return visitsdetermined?'. For this purpose, both a conceptual framework and a research hypothesis of the study are derived based on theoretical reviews on ecotourism and ecotourism components. A survey is conducted on visitors to Upo wetlands, a recognized ecotourismdestination in Korea. The collected data are analyzed using reliability analysis, descriptive statistics for a single variable, the Pearson correlation coefficient, and path analysis. The results show that ecological resources, facilities, activities, environmental consciousness, and satisfaction are influencing ecotourists’ revisiting the sites. The direct effects on the return visits are higher in the order of satisfaction, facilities, environmental consciousness, and activities, while indirect ones are facilities, activities, environmental consciousness, and ecological resources. The size of causality is higher in the order of satisfaction, facilities, activities, environmental consciousness, and ecological resources. In other words, satisfaction directly has the most impact on any return visit while the facilities are mains factors in the indirect and casual effects. Therefore, the facilities play an important role in determining ecotourists’ revisiting. Finally, there is a need to increase the relevance of ecological resources, facilities, activities, environmental consciousness, and satisfaction. This may lead to greater causality and indirect impacts which help to increase the number of return visits.
