초등학생 진로인식검사 개발 및 타당화 = Development and Validation of the Career Awareness Scale for Elementary School Students

The purpose of the present study was to develop and to verify reliability and validity of the Career Awareness Scale for elementary school students. It was to find out the characteristics of the constructs of career awareness. The experiment objects of the study was Korean elementary school students; A total of 1,997 students. The 5th grade was 975 students and the 6th grade was 1,022 students. After developing the Career Awareness Scale with 32 items, the inventory was administered to 1,997 elementary school Students in Korea. The internal consistency of the Career Awareness Scale was proved to be acceptable. The Career Awareness Scale was validated by item analysis, confirmatory factor analysis. The result of confirmatory factor analysis showed that the Career Awareness Scale was made of three-factor structure. Examination of the item descriptive statistics and confirmatory factor analysis resulted in the 32-item final scale. As the REMEA index for the model fit was below .05, the model fit showed a good result. The three-factor structure of the Career Awareness Scale was made of 1) self-assessment 2) job awareness 3) career attitude. The three-factor structure of the Career Awareness Scale represented well the career development level of the elementary school Students. The Career Awareness Scale is expected to be very useful psychological testing tool for career counseling.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등학생들을 위한 자기보고식 진로발달 검사도구를 개발하고 타당화하기 위한 연구이다. 초등학생의 진로발달 단계는 진로인식의 단계라고 할 수 있기 때문에 본 연구에서는 진로인식검사라고 명명하였다. 초등학생용 진로인식검사에 포함시켜야 할 하위 구인들을 탐색하고 내용타당도를 확보한 후, 이에 근거한 문항을 제작하였다. 문항이 제작된 후 전국규모의 표본을 선정하여 예비조사를 실시하고 다양한 통계적 분석을 실시하여 문항 양호도를 검증하고 본검사 문항을 확정하는 작업을 수행하였다. 이를위해 초등학생들의 진로발달 과업에 대한 문헌연구와 전문가의 의견을 수렴하여 자기 이해, 직업세계 인식, 진로 태도 3개 영역과 8개 하위요인에 대한 문항을 개발하고 타당화 작업을 수행하였다. 조사자료에 대한 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석 결과 등을 통하여 본 검사에서 선정한 하위요인의 요인구조는 최초에 구성한 진로태도 대영역에 대한 하위요인 중 계획성과 준비성 요인을 초등학생들이 구분하여 인식하지 않는 것으로 확인됨에 따라 최종적으로 본검사에서는 3개의 대영역과 7개의 하위요인으로 설정하였다. 확인적 요인분석 결과, 모형적합도 지수가 매우 양호하여 설정된 하위요인들은 초등학생 진로인식 검사를 구성하는데 타당한 것으로 나타났으며, 이에 근거하여 개발된 문항들은 각 하위구인들을 적절하게 대표하는 문항들이라고 할 수 있다. 또한 진로성숙도검사와의 상관분석을 통해 진로인식검사는 매우 신뢰롭고 타당한 검사임을 입증하였다. 본 진로인식검사도구는 학령기 초기 진로교육에 대한 관심이 증대되는 현 시점에서 초등학생들의 진로발달 수준을 탐색할 수 있는 유용한 검사도구가 될 것으로 기대한다.
