컴퓨터통신언어에 대한 사용자의 지각과 컴퓨터통신언어 사용 실태의 관계 = Factors affecting the use of PC/online Languages in computer-mediated environments

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

PC/online languages are easily observed in computer-mediated environments(CMEs) nowadays. Academic research for those peculiar expressions has not been properly conducted, however, because many researchers have considered them as anti-social, deviated language uses. A theoretical approach should be taken to categorize PC/online languages and explain the nature of those expressions. Normative factors and knowledge factors were derived from SIDE model, trying to constructing acceptable research model. According to regression analysis, the degree of intimacy to PC/online languages was the best indicator to predict the amount of PC/online language use regardless of types of language. It was considered that the amount of knowledge of language and psychological accommodation were focal variables which trigger people to use PC/online languages. Perceived norm of PC/online languages in CMEs was another variable to predict the use of languages types such as omissions, phoneme additions, abbreviations. The degree of intimacy to PC/online languages was a main predictor of using emoticons, phonetic vocalizations, PC/online words.
