지혜 문학에 나타난 부의 개념과 신학적 의미 -rv[와 ryv[를 중심으로- = Wealth and Theology in the Wisdom Literature of the Old Testament

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this paper is to find the concept of wealth in the wisdom literature of the Bible, through exegetical study on the verses in Job, Ecclesiastes and Proverbs, where the Hebrew term rv[ or the derivation ryv[ appears. It shows that the rich in these texts are treated in the theological context only. In the Book of Proverbs where the term rv[ and ryv[ appears the most in the Bible, it seems that the secular milieus are emphasized in regard to the concept of wealth. But the proverbial texts are to be in organic relationship and we can find the concept of wealth in Proverbs is made by whole three stages: secular, ethical and theological. Then it goes without saying that the ultimate goal of the sages in Proverbs is to make theological statement concerning wealth. The fact that wealth, the most secular subject is reinterpreted as a theological one may help prevent further claims that the wisdom literature in the Hebrew Bible is mundane, materialistic and so on.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 소론에서는 지혜 문학에 나타난 부의 개념을 통해 구약 성서 지혜 문학의 본질을 재고한다. 부를 나타내는 히브리어 동사 rv[와 그 파생어 ryv[가 사용되는 욥기, 전도서, 잠언의 해당 구절들 가운데, 욥기와 전도서에서는 부의 개념이 단지 신학적 진술을 위한 보조 수단으로 사용되며 부의 개념은 철저하게 신학적 정황 안에 놓여 있다. 반면에 잠언에서는 부의 개념이 다양한 양상으로 나타나는 가운데 특별히 세속적인 정황을 강조하는 구절들이 발견되어 비록 정경이지만 잠언에는 여전히 세속적, 물질적 관심이 존재한다고 규정하는 근거가 되고 있다. 그러나 부의 개념과 관련해서 잠언에 나타나는 여러 양상들은 서로 유기적인 관계 속에 놓여 있다. 즉, 세속적 물질적 관심은 윤리적 개념들에 의해 새롭게 재해석되고 있으며, 윤리적 개념들은 신학적으로 승화된다. 그러므로 잠언에서조차 부의 개념은 궁극적으로 신학적 진술이 목표라는 사실을 알 수 있다. 결과적으로 가장 세속적이라 할 수 있는 부의 개념이 성서의 지혜 문학에서 철저하게 신학적으로 다루어진다는 것은 지혜 문학의 본질이 신학적이라는 사실을 잘 보여준다.
