The purpose of this study is to determine the traits between teachers and children in elementary school physical education classes. Its conclusions are as follows. First, only 7.67% of the academic learning time in elementary physical education classes was effective. Such a low rate of ALT-PE resulted from the following: (1) Elementary school in physical education classes spend more than 40% of the time on nonphysical activities such as class management, general management, rest and warns-up exercises. (2) It`s difficult to give an assignment befitting the children`s learning desire and capability because of the lack of teacher preparation and expert knowledge, as well as the overcrowded classrooms. Second, the analysis between ALT-PE and the teaching activities showed that too much time was alloted for nonphysical activities live classroom, monitoring, and lecturing. Third, as stated above, by spending much time on class management and control unrelated to the class objectives, teachers relatively lack in the teaching method on the positive skill feedback collective skill feedback, and the like.
