    Looking at the trend in mathematics in Korea, there was a campaign for a new approach to teaching mathematics in 1960. In 1970, mathematics returned to the basics while mathematics in 1980 was more problem solving oriented. Presently, there have been many changes in the teaching of mathematics. In the 21st century, an are of knowledge and information, it is no doubt that mathematics is one of the driving forces of national development. This is essential because it serves as a reasonable force to deal with various issues in a rational and active manner. In fact, the study of mathematics is not only interrelated with the basics of other disciplines such as politics, economics, social sciences, architecture, and more but also influences them significantly. However, the current mathematics education in Korea uses college admissions as a means to enforce methodological learning techniques to solve problems. These cramming methods of education inhibit creativity and do not spark interest in mathematics. In additon, there have been issues of avoidance of careers in the field of engineering, natural sciences and technology. Other problems arise from the fierce competition associated with college admission which in turn causes several social problems such as unhealthy social ineptitude and school violence.
    The present study is classified into three parts. First, the content of the curriculum is based on mathematics objects that are hidden in our daily lives that already interest teachers, as well as to present new facts from integrating mathematics history and storytelling to decide the theme of mathematics in order to improve the communication skills of students. Second, mathematics is not merely about solving problems but rather also connected with other disciplines. Mathematics impacts science which allows a point of reference for students to determine future careers. Third, the study looked at how mathematics learning has a positively affects interest in mathematics. In addition, it investigated the changes in belief about mathematics after the experiment. Finally, the study seeks to support mathematics education to nurture creative talents.
