시도교육청 다문화교육 정책 현황 분석에 관한 연구 -2009년 시행 정책을 중심으로- = Current state and prospect of Multicultural Education Policies of 16 Education Bureau of Cities and Provinces -Focused on the policies in 2009-

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This survey is aimed at a realization of multicultural education policies which had fulfilled by total 16 Education Bureau of Cities and Provinces of Korea during 2009. The results are following: From the aspect of policy purpose, while traditional language education and cultural literacy education are still prevailing, multicultural understanding education is increscent. Another point of policy target, policies for marriage migrants and immigrant workers are not clearly classified and multicultural understanding education policies are concentrated on experts training like teachers and officeholders. In the light of next policies, following two suggestions should be considered. Multicultural education policies ought to reflect regional multicultural traits more accurately. and Education Bureaus might as well specialize their strong point such as improving academic achievements of multicultural students, but it would be better to reinforce networking or outsource to private sectors on unskilled tasks.
