쟝 보드리야르(Jean Baudrillard,1929 ~ )이론과 소비문화의 관점을 통한 미술비평 = Theory of Jean Baudrillard and Art Criticism from the Viewpoint of Consumption Culture

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Baudrillard's contribution to the art circles can be found in the fact that he provided a poetic, theoretical language necessary for the depiction of the state in which artists feel and criticize that the art world became no more than the exchanges of tastes and goods and such tastes were not different from the exchange values of the taste replacements themselves. The conversion of economic exchange values into taste values rests on the understanding that consumption brings about the production of taste values of differentiation. Baudrillard was opposed to the pure aesthetics of postmodernism which accepted originality and the artists' values as the best values. Instead, he argued for the artistic justification of fakes or counterfeits in modern society in which duplication culture is booming due to the inundation of various media. This study examines the simulation theory postulated by Baudrillard in his later years and connects it with the artistic characteristics in the transition period from modernism to postmodernism. Accordingly, this study divides Baudrillard's theory into the basics and applications for discussion and examines the aesthetic foundation of his theory, in addition to its application to art.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

보드리야르가 미술계에 분명히 기여한 것은 미술계가 기호-상품의 교환에 지나지 않게 되었으며, 이러한 기호는 그 자체의 교환가치와는 다르게 나타내지 않았다고 작가들이 느끼고 비판적이게 되었다는 상태를 묘사하는데 필요한 시적-이론적 언어를 제공하기 위함이었다. 경제적 교환가치를 기호 가치로 전환시킨 것은 소비가 미분의 기호가치의 생산을 가져온다는 이해에 의존한다. 보드리야르는 오리지낼리티와 원작자의 가치를 최고로 받아들였던 모더니즘의 순수미학에 반발하였으며, 각종 미디어의 범람으로 복제문화가 양상되는 현대사회에서 모조나 위작의 예술적 당위성을 내세우게 되었다.본 논문에서 연구하고자 하는 것은 보드리야르가 후기에 전개했던 시뮬라시옹 이론과 그것을 모더니즘에서 포스트모더니즘으로의 전환기 미술의 특성과 연관시켜 연구하려 한다. 따라서 그의 이론을 기초와 적용으로 구분, 논함으로서 그의 이론의 미학적 토대와 그것의 미술 속에 적용하며 연구하고자 한다.
