영화 아마데우스(Peter Shaffer's Amadeus)에 나타는 로코코 복식의 재현에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Reproduction of Rococo's Costume in the Movie of 'Amadeus'

국문 초록 (Abstract)

영화의상은 극중 인물의 성격과 사회적 지위, 심리 등의 이미지 전달과 극의 주제와 분위기를 사실적으로 전달하는 중요한 수단이다. 또한 그 시대 배경에 대한 고증은 영화의 줄거리나 연기 못지 않게 작품의 특성을 시각적으로 보여주기 때문에 보는 이로 하여금 시선을 끌게 하는 중요한 요인이 된다. 영화 아마데우스는 여러 부문의 아카데미상과 더불어 의상 상을 받음으로서 영화 의상으로서의 우수성을 인정받은 작품이다.
본 연구는 영화 의상에 대한 이론적 배경을 토대로 영화 아마데우스에서 로코코 의상이 어떻게 재현되고 있으며 더불어 등장인물의 성격과 주제를 어떻게 표현하고 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 관련 문헌과 인터넷 자료 등을 이용하였고, 영화 아마데우스의 DVD에서 포착한 사진 자료를 통하여 의상을 분석하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다.
1. 본 영화에서의 의상은 극중 인물의 성격과, 심리, 그리고 신분 등을 표현하는 이미지 전달과 극의 주제를 상징적으로 잘 표현하고 있었다.
2. 시대적 고증이 완벽하지는 않으나 의상의 형태, 색, 그리고 장식적인 요소들을 모티브로 이용하여 로코코를 재현하고 있었다.
3. 아마데우스와 살리에리의 대비되는 성격을 의상을 통하여 잘 표현하고 있었다.
4. 머리형태와 의상의 디테일은 시대를 재현함과 동시에 인물의 성격을 표현하는 상징적인 수단으로 이용하고 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Movie costume is a very important device to convey the person's character in the work, the theme, and the atmosphere etc. actually. moreover the historical investigation on the background of the movie is another attractive factor to the audience because it gives the characteristics if the work visually as well as the scenario or the performance. 'Amadeus' was much recognized as excellency of movie costume, so that it gained the Academy Award in movie costume.
The study was investigated how to reproduce Rococo's costume in 'Amadeus', based on the theoretical background about movie costume, and also to reveal the
person's character in the work through the costume. For the study, related literature, articles and internet material were used, and also the movie costume
was studied from captured photos in the DVD of 'Amadeus'.
The results of the study were as follows;
1. Costume in the movie carried a role symbolically to suggest the image of the person's character, psychology and status in the work, and the theme.
2. The historical investigation was not perfect but it reproduced the Rococo based on using shapes of costume, color and decorative factors as motives.
3. The contrast of the characters between Amadeus and Salieri was expressed very well through their costumes.
4. The hair styles and details of the costume were used as symbolic devices to reveal the person's character as well as reproduction of the time.
