이스라엘–하마스 전쟁양상 분석: ‘디지로그 복합전’ 개념 적용 = Analysis of the Israel- Hamas War: Applying the Conceptual Framework of ‘Digilog Hybrid Warfare’

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이스라엘-하마스 전쟁은 고도의 복합전 양상을 선명하게 드러낸 사례로 평가된다. 이 전쟁에서는 전통적 화력전과 기동전이 전개되는 동시에, 사이버전·정보전·인지전 등 비물리적 형태의 전쟁이 병행되었다. 또한 AI와 드론 등 첨단기술이 참호·지하·시가전과 같은 아날로그적 방식과 결합함으로써, 신구의 기술·전략·전술이 복합적으로 작동하는 다중 복합전의 전형을 보여주었다. 이러한 전쟁 양상은 하이브리드전이나 지능화전이 초점을 맞추었던 회색지대나 첨단기술 중심으로는 복합적 전면전 양상을 충분히 설명하기 어렵다는 것을 보여준다. 이에 본 연구는 ‘디지로그 복합전’ 개념으로 이스라엘-하마스 전쟁의 양상을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 전쟁은 디지로그적 통합, 연계, 얽힘의 원리가 동시에 작동하며 고도의 복합전으로 전개되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 전쟁의 복합적 속성을 신개념을 통해 체계화함으로써, 군사이론의 발전에 기여한다. 동시에 첨단기술 의존이 심화되는 미래 전장환경에서 디지로그적 전략설계와 대응체계 구축의 필요성을 제시하였다는 점에서 전략적·정책적 함의를 지닌다.

The Israel–Hamas War represents one of the most vivid manifestations of the hyper-complex nature of modern warfare. In this conflict, non-physical means such as cyber attacks, information warfare, and psychological operations were conducted simultaneously with traditional kinetic operations involving rockets and missiles. Moreover, cutting-edge technologies—AI, drones, and electronic warfare—interacted dynamically with analog methods such as incendiary warfare, tunnel operations, and urban combat, producing a highly integrated and multifaceted form of warfare. This battlefield environment exemplifies a multi-dimensional hybrid war, in which the boundaries between technology and humanity, the physical and the non-physical, and reality and cognition are blurred.
Existing concepts such as hybrid warfare and intelligentized warfare are insufficient to fully account for this level of complexity and interaction. Accordingly, this study analyzes the Israel–Hamas War through a new conceptual framework termed “Digilog Hybrid Warfare.” This framework posits that digital and analog capabilities are interwoven, and that the interaction between these dual dimensions fundamentally shapes the course and outcome of war. Through this concept, the study systematically examines the complex characteristics of the Israel–Hamas conflict and explores its implications for Korean defense strategy and the future development of military theory.
