    Indigenous Korean king crabs had inhabited rivers in Korea before they were exterminated by over-exploitation and serious river pollution due to urban pollutants and agricultural chemical overuse in 1980's. Fortunately, the technological achievement of artificial incubation of crab eggs recently made it possible to plant some rivers with those crabs perished and such a rehabilitation pace is still forced at most of rivers and streams in Korea. This paper is aiming at elaborating a system dynamic model that incorporates economic components into the typical population dynamics for the crab ecosystem in order to deal with the decision problems related to this restoration activity utilizing Imjin River's king crab case. The analysis on the Imjin River case reveals that the current amount of crab planted per year is sufficient for the rehabilitation purpose, although the planting activities likely seem to cause a crash of crab price due to high yields resulted from the recovery of the crab ecosystem. Accordingly, it is recommended to control the current yield rate in order to prevent such a crash and to maximize the asset value and revenues of crabs catches in both case of the temporary or perpetual maintenance of planting the current flow.
