간편형 한국어 BFI(Big Five Inventory) 타당화 연구 = Validation of A Korean Version of the Big Five Inventory

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to validate a Korean version of the Big-Five Inventory, an instrument designed to measure Big-Five personality domains. The inventory was translated and then administered to 720 Korean adolescents and adults. The results showed that the factor structure of the Korean BFI-44 wasn`t completely equal to that of the original English version. Thus, we had to reduce the number of the items of the full BFI-44, resulting in 15 items. Factor analyses revealed evidence of structural validity of the Korean short version-15. In addition, correlational analyses showed that the Korean BFI-15 correlated with NEO-FFI, life satisfaction, depression, career decision, and academic achievement. Findings indicated that the Korean BFI-15 is efficient and valid for sufficiently assessing five factor personality domains.
