충남천안방언의 움라우트에 대하여 = On the Umlaut in Chungnam Cheonan Dialect

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper argued a property of Chungnam Cheonan dialect with the shape of the representing Umlaut synchronically. In consequence, I confirmed that Cheonan dialect umlaut is equal to already established umlaut. moreover I confirmed special dialectic properties in this provincial umlaut representation. namely It was spread of umlaut contents-linguistic unit, diterminant, interposition consonant and direction of assimilation. so to speak, umlaut of this province is realized in the word boundary out of stem and morpheme boundary. Diterminants are secondary formed 'i' (<e(에), oy(외), uy(위)) as well as original 'i, y'. Interposition consonants are 〔＋grave〕and l(ㄹ), n(ㄴ). Direction of assimilation is realized not only regressive assimilation but progressive assimilation. Therefore a mirror image rule is established in this provincial umlaut.
