영아기 어머니의 그릿이 양육효능감에 미치는 영향: 사회적 지원에 의해 조절된 우울의 매개효과 = The effect of mothers’ grit on parenting efficacy: the moderated mediation of depression by social support

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 그릿과 양육효능감 간의 관계에서 우울의 매개효과를 탐색하고, 사회적 지원이 그릿과 우울의 관계를 조절하여 매개효과에 영향을 미치는지 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 한국영유아교육·보육패널의 2차년도 조사(2023년)에 참여한 2,058가구의 데이터를 분석에 사용하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석을 위해서는 SPSS 29.0 프로그램과 PROCESS Macro 4.2 프로그램을 이용하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 그릿과 양육효능감 간의 관계에서 우울의 매개효과가 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 그릿과 양육효능감 간의 관계에서 우울의 매개효과는 사회적 지원에 의해 조절되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 어머니의 양육효능감은 어머니의 그릿과 우울과 같은 개인의 내적인 요인과 사회적 지원과 같은 개인의 외적인 요인이 복합적으로 작용함을 밝혔다. 본 연구결과는 영아기 자녀를 양육하는 어머니와 가족의 양육에 대한 자신감과 역량 함양을 위한 프로그램과 정책을 마련하는 데 기초자료로서 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study aimed to examined the moderated mediating roles of mothers’ depression and social supports in the relationship between grit and parenting efficacy among mothers of infants. The participants were 2,058 mothers drawn from the second wave of the Korean Early Childhood Education and Care Panel Study. Correlation analyses were conducted using SPSS 29.0 and mediation and moderated mediation effects were tested using Models 4 and 7 of PROCESS Macro version 4.2 The findings were as follows. First, mothers’ depression partially mediated the relationship between mothers’ grit and parenting efficacy. Second, the mediating effect of mothers’ depression was moderated by social supports. These results indicate that parenting efficacy among mothers is shaped by both internal factors, such as mothers' grit and depression, and external factors, such as social supports. The findings provide foundational evidence for development of programs and policies aimed at enhancing parental confidence and competence of families with infants.
