일본의 특수법인 개혁에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Reform within Japanese Public Corporations

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Public corporations, one of the traditional governance mechanisms designed to deliver public service by central and local government, have played a significant role in the market. Therefore, the study of public corporations as a sub-field of public administration is essential to cultivation an understanding of the context of administrative reform and government performance.
Despite the strong historical and institutional impact of Japanese public corporations on its system in Korea, such entities have been received little attention by Korean researchers. In this context, this study analyzes the historical efforts of Japanese governmen in relation to debt-creating public corporations "Tokushu-Hojin", the characteristics of new reform under Koizumi government and the future prospect of public corporations in Japan. In addition, this study suggests some implications to Korean public corporations.
