중학교 하천 체험환경교육 프로그램 개발 및 운영방안 : 청계천을 중심으로 = (The) development and operation of experience and learn environmental education program for the creek in middle School : related to the Chung Gye

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 청계천이 복원되면서 맑은 물이 흐르는 도심 개천으로 다시 태어나게 되어 많은 사람들과 언론의 관심을 끌고 있다. 특히 청계천은 콘크리트 건물로 둘러싸여 인구와 교통이 과밀하고 복잡한 도시의 한복판에 짙은 초록이 완연한 도심 속의 하천으로서 시민들에게 없어서는 안 될 소중한 휴식처 및 문화공간으로 자리 잡고 있다.본 연구에서는 생태적·기능적으로 매우 중요한 도심 하천인 청계천에 대한 관심과 보호를 유도하기 위해 청계천을 환경교육장으로 활용한 하천 체험환경교육 프로그램 개발 및 운영방안을 제시하였다.본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다.첫째, 하천을 활용한 체험환경교육은 경제적, 시간적 측면에서 효율적으로 실시할 수 있으며, 지역사회의 환경교육 장소로 활용할 수 있는 우수한 교육 현장이라고 할 수 있다.둘째, 개발된 하천 체험환경교육 프로그램의 모형은 활동 준비, 활동 목표, 탐구 활동, 활동 평가의 네 단계로 구분되며, 그 중 탐구활동은 모둠별 프로그램 담당제로 운영한다. 이것은 학생들이 자신의 수준과 희망에 따라 다양한 하천 체험 프로그램을 선택하여 활동하게 함으로써 학생들에게 좀 더 효율적이고 흥미로운 체험활동을 제공할 수 있다.셋째, 특별수업을 통해 체험학습 장소인 청계천에 대한 이해를 돕고 환경 기초 이론 등에 대한 지식을 습득할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 또한 활동 평가를 통해 체험환경교육 결과를 분석, 발표, 제출함으로써 능동적인 체험환경교육 프로그램이 운영될 수 있다.넷째, 역사적·문화적으로 의미가 있는 청계천 체험환경교육을 통해 프로그램에 참여하는 학생들로부터 자신이 사는 지역사회에 대한 관심과 애착을 불러일으킬 수 있다. 또한 도심 속 생태 하천의 중요성과 기능을 인식함으로써 환경에 대한 바람직한 가치와 태도를 형성하고 환경문제의 해결을 위한 실천행동을 유도해 진정으로 청계천을 복원해 나갈 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently, the Chung Gye has been a creek with fresh water that runs through the downtown of the city drawing much attention from the public and the media since its restoration. The Chung Gye, surrounded by concrete buildings and located in the middle of the city where there is overcrowding population and lots of traffic congestions, is the only place in the city where people can take a rest and enjoy entertainments with green environments nearby. Therefore, the Chung Gye has become an indispensable place for people in the city.The study proposes the development and operation of experience and learn environmental education program for the city creek in middle school to draw public interest and efforts of conservation of the Chung Gye which is playing quite an important role both ecologically and functionally as a city creek.The conclusion of the study is as followed.First, stream experience environmental education can be operated effectively in both time and finance, and also it can be utilized as an excellent environmental education of the local community.Second, the developed model of stream experience environmental education is divided into four steps - preparation, goal setting, activity, self assessment. Activity is based on groups and each group will be assigned to do different programs. Students will be given chances to choose a group to participate in that can suit their level and taste. In this way, it can provide students with more effective and interesting activities.Third, through special outdoor activity, students can get help improving their understanding of the Chung Gye where their activities take place and chances to learn knowledge such as basic environmental theories etc. Plus, by doing self assessment, students take time to look back on what they did during the activity, share what they learned from it and hand in a report to teachers who's in charge of the activity, which helps students participate in the program more actively.
