경(經)과 인터넷 : 지식 형성의 구조와 과정 = Implications of the Five Books for Internet-based Knowledge Creation

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This is a study on the creation and distribution of information over internet, compared with part of The Bible that has been refined for millenniums. The Wikipedia and the KnowledgeiN, two popular internet-based knowledge creation instruments, were examined, with the Five Books of the Old Testament-the norms for Jews and Christians-as their comparative device. The focus of analysis was the structure and process of knowledge creation. It is the assumption of this study that the creation and distribution of knowledge, an essential for life, may not be much different from age to age. Internet-based knowledge creation, being merely decades old, may thus get instructive suggestions from the creation of the Five Books that have been recorded, edited, compiled, and refined through millennia. In conclusion, the process of editing in Wikipedia may have to be diversified out of narrow confinement of a single perspective or two. The KnowledgeiN, on the other, may have to outgrow the rigid one-way traffic of the ``question-answer`` format, and move up to systematizing the loosely-related aggregates of information into more integrated body of knowledge. The Old can here be an important guide to the New.
