The purpose of this study is to investigate new Korean science teachers` perception about the science teacher preparation courses that they experienced. The study was conducted as a qualitative study method using in-depth interview. For the study, interview questions were developed, based on the questionnaire of ``The IMPRACT project``, that is being conducted in USA. The interview tool includes the questions about experience of science subject matters, science pedagogical subject matters, and general pedagogical subject matters that they were taught in the courses, and their influence on their current teaching, etc. For the interview, 7 new science teachers, below 5 years of teaching experience, were sampled from secondary schools in Korea. The research results are as follows: First, most of the new science teachers perceived that the teaching methods in the classes of science subject matters were not appropriate as good model for teaching science in secondary school, because they were not various, and mostly knowledge transfer just by lecture. Second, most of the new science teachers perceived that they were affected positively by the teaching methods in the classes of the science pedagogical subject matters and they could apply those methods in their current science teaching. Lastly, most of the new science teachers perceived the general pedagogical subject matters as not very important and prerequisite for their science teaching in their schools.
