의미 범주 체계의 구축과 사전에서의 활용 = A Construction of Semantic Category System and its Application to Dictionary

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this paper is to explain how to construct a system of semantic categories to use Korean dictionary effectively. In order to establish and systematize semantic categories, it should be decide what the goal of constructing the semantic categories is. Meanings can be categorized based on an objective ontology, or on subjective human experiences. It is possible to assign an ontological category and a semantic class to a lexeme at once. Most Korean language dictionaries don’t have sufficient semantic category information, as well as their information isn’t systematic. Above all, the aim of dictionary is to learn the meaning of lexemes. When the aim of dictionary comes clear, it is possible to solve the problems above mentioned. In addition, it is necessary to supply satisfactory information of semantic categories to dictionary.
