Many gynecological procedures can be achieved safely and effectively by pelviscopic surgery. Pelviscopic surgery has been reported to reduce costs and recovery time for patients undergoing a variety of procedures and to minimize tissue handling and bleeding. Pelviscopic myomectomy was performed on 51 patients of myoma uteri at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, College of Medicine, Chung-Ang University from Aug. 1989 to Sep. 1990. The number of myoma was 21 in intramural type and 67 in subserosal type. Mean operative time was 57.5 minutes, the range from 20 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes. For the future, pelviscopic surgery will be popular surgical method in gynecological diseases.
