The purpose of this study is to provide basic material on how to improve management of the graduate school of education which is going to train for teacher as in-service training center and re-educated center. This subjects were consist of teachers who are students of the graduate school of education and are graduated already.
This study was made by random sampling of 98 schools
which are Seoul and Metropolitan area and was consist of 160 school teacher who are student of the graduate school of education and graduated. Among 143 questionnaires, 129
questionnaires without 14 dishonest questionnaires were analyzed.
The research tool be used this study made by myself through precedent study which was related study in domestic about the realities of management for graduate school of education.
I analyzed the collected material using by SPSSWIN and I did test frequency, percentile and chi-square test.
The result of this study are follows;
The graduate school student of education studied to take new knowledge and since interesting for major field. They choose after consideration for honor and authority of professor. when taking lectures, they have choose the lectures in concern for their major field and interesting.
When attending the graduate school of education, they said
the difficult is insufficient time and information but most student have satisfaction for their study. They have unsatisfaction for environment of the graduate school of education because of insufficient book in library related major, facility equipment.
They prefer a unit of subject to graduation test for a
condition of graduation, want to be teach when four semester or three semester. They recognized the method of deciding teaching professor have to consider their decision sufficiently.
They recognized the need for statement of research plan, so they want to communicate their thought through the way
interview teaching professor and statement in the middle. They want to write dissertation with two way. One is the way present type, the other is replace the credit which have had.
In the support of administration, they have low satisfaction,
and said tuition fee is too expensive. In the course work period of evening time, they want four or five semester system. In the evaluation of learning, they want the way report or degree of participatio.
In the level of content of curriculum, they evaluate that
beyond normal then undergraduate. In the curriculum and
management, they expect that the kind of subject and the
category is going to extense. and although the content which learned in graduate school was a theory, that was very useful to teach student.
In case of the type of teaching, the answer of student which
a teaching is going to a lecture of professor himself and the
answer of student which a teaching is going side by side a
statement of student and a lecture of professor are similar.
The best desirable teaching type was to go side by side a
lecture of professor and statement of student and discussion. In case of lecture and teaching, the best opinion was the needs of sincerity attitude for teaching and preparation of professor. The satisfaction for lecture and teaching of present was no more then 11%.
So being variety of the content of teaching and curriculum as to doing regularly function of reeducation and succession education, they expect to improve the management realities of the graduate school of education. The graduate student expect to be introduce about korea theory pattern then foreign country. Also they expect to be limit for student per a course of study.
To improve this problem , I suggest this follows;
First, It need formation and management of curriculum for
asking of the graduate school student of education.
Second, special study book must dispose in the library enough
Third, the useful utility for the graduate school student of
education have to be made and improve to use conveniently.
Fourth, the educational environment of graduate school of
education must maintained comfortable continuously.
Fifth, It was made to intensify for service quality of
administration support and achieve appropriate time and
effectively .
Sixth, it need be reduce tuition fee and enlarge scholarship.
Seventh, the teaching and seminar of graduate school of
education have to take in focus of the problem in concern with school field .
