사회복지시설의 감염관리 현황과 감염교육 효과 분석: 병원 감염관리와의 비교

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 사회복지시설의 감염관리 수준과 감염교육의 효과를 분석하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 감염관리에 취약한 노인·장애인 복지시설을 중심으로 병원의 감염관리와 어떤 차이가 있는지를 비교하였다. 사회복지시설은 의료복지시설인 요양원과 노인·장애인 주거복지시설로 구분하고, 병원은 사회복지시설과의 비교를 위해 종합병원 대신 노인병원과 요양병원을 대상으로 하였다. 경기북부 4개 시·군(일반시1, 도농복합시2, 군1)의 병원, 요양원, 노인·장애인 시설 종사자 726명을 대상으로 한 설문분석 결과는 다음과 같다. ① 사회복지시설의 감염관리는 병원 대비 95% 수준을 보였다. 요양원은 98.6%, 노인·장애인 시설은 93.2% 수준에 머물러 있다. 영역별 현황에 있어서는 개인위생, 대상자 관리가 특히 취약한 것으로 나타났다. ② 감염교육이 감염관리에 긍정적 효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 감염교육을 받은 사람이 받지 않은 사람보다 감염관리에 확연한 우위를 보였다. 그리고 이러한 효과는 병원보다 사회복지시설에서 더욱 크게 나타났다. ③ 중점 감염교육이 필요한 개인적 속성별 사회복지시설의 감염교육 수요에 있어서는 여성보다는 남성, 연령이 낮을수록, 간호사보다는 요양보호사와 사회복지사, 사원보다는 관리자가 높게 나타났다. 특이한 점은 병원과 달리 노인·장애인 주거복지시설의 경우 관리자가 사원보다 감염관리 수준이 오히려 낮고, 감염교육 효과도 크지 않다는 점이다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 사회복지시설의 감염관리 수준과 감염교육효과 증진을 위한 향후 과제에 대해 논의하였다.
