보행권 확보를 위한 보행환경개선방안에 관한 연구 : 광주광역시를 중심으로 = A Study on the Walking Environments Improvement

국문 초록 (Abstract)

보행환경은 교통시설에서 가장 기본적인 요소로 계획되어야 하지만 그동안 자동차 중심의 교통정책으로 계획의 중심에서 벗어나 있었다. 이에 따라 교통사고에서 보행사고가 차지하는 비율은 총 교통사고의 36.5%로서 2009년보다 1.4%증가하였다. 보행자에게 이동편의를 제공하는 것은 가장 기본적인 이동권을 의미하며 보행은 교통분야에서 이동의 시작인 동시에 끝인 교통수단으로서 최소 기준에 기초로 한 시설계획이 되어야 한다.
보행은 단순히 시설만을 제공하는 것이 아니라 쾌적성, 안전성, 접근성 등을 우선적으로 고려하여야 하며, 교통약자가 많이 이용하는 대중교통, 교통시설계획 최소설계 기준은 교통약자가 되어야 한다. 이를 다양한 정책 시행을 통해 확보한다면 생활권 보호를 통한 지속가능한 도시성장이 가능하며, 또한 이것은 지속적인 관심에 의해 창출할 수 있기 때문에 보행환경의 개선을 위한 대안들을 제시하여 안전한 보행공간의 확보에 기여할 수 있는 제 방법들을 연구하였다.

The purpose of this study was to suggested several alternatives of walking rights according to walking environments improvement in kwangju city. Although the walking rights is basis of transportation system, it was no interested in transportation planning by lasted planning on focus of the passenger car. The unblanced transportation system has causued traffic accident increasing every year
with sacrifice of lifes that is drivers or pedestrians. To decreasing sacrifies of life from car accidents, the transportation planning needs on focus of the human go through the producing good circumstance for pedestrian.
