    스피드스케이트 500m 종목 대표선수들의 출발구간 기술동작 분석 = Biomechanical Analysis of Starting Motion during a 500meter Speed Skating in the Korean Speed Skating Team Members

    The purpose of this study was to analyze starting motion of a 500 meter speed skating in the Korean speed skating team members in order to provide biomechanical information for the preparation of the 2010 Winter Olympic Game and other international competitions. Four cameras were used to capture a 30 meter starting period in two dimensional x-y axes. Biomechanical results were as follow: Time to contact of the first step on ice was between 0.60 and 0.90 second while its response time was between 0.17 and 0.32 second. In addition, time to the first contact of the left blade after an initial take off was between 0.43 and 0.58 second. The distance travelled during 3 seconds was ranged between 13.70 and 19.95 meters with an average distance of 17.83 ± 2.54 meters. S1 and S2 showed dramatic changes in velocity of the center of mass (COM) during the second to fourth stroke after starting while S3 and S5 showed smaller motion of stroke with small changes in velocity during the first and second stroke, and no dramatic increases in velocity after the third stroke. In S1 and S4, the velocity of COM at 1.5 second and 3.0 second during starting motion were approximately 7 m/s and 9-10 m/s respectively. An averaged distance between two feet was 41.40cm during the first stroke. Then, the distance between two feet was unchanged until the third stroke while there was a tendency to show a shorter distance between two feet after the fourth stroke. S1, S2, and S4 showed relatively wider step width (e.g. 41.4cm~42.8cm) during the third stroke while S2 and S4 showed relatively narrow step width. All skaters showed greater angles (e.g. 43.3°~76.1°) of blade on the right foot compared the angles (e.g. 31.3°~53.6°) of blade on the left foot. The greatest angle of the right foot was shown during the first stroke while the angle was reduced and later increased again. S2 showed the greatest angle (128.5°) of blade on the left foot while S1 showed the smallest angle (15.9°) of the left foot.
