Housing markets in Daejon Area have been volatile for the last 6 months because of new administrative capital construction. Prices in housing and land in Daejon area soared up excessively and this induced real-estate speculation in this region. Total net increment in apartment price in Daejon area for the last 4 months is about 1.5 trillion won. This made a wealth gap between home owners and the others wider, and housing renters in Daejon area are under worse situation than before. The aims of this paper are to look through the impact of new administrative capital construction to housing markets in Daejon area, and to forecast the future situations. It is estimated that housing types in Daejon area will be more diversified and housing construction in suburban area will be increased considerably in the future.
