R.마그리트의 ‘단어와 이미지’의 내레이션 연구 = A study on R. Magritte's "words and images"

국문 초록 (Abstract)

대부분의 시각 예술가들은 ‘이미지 만들기’에 주력해왔다. 그러나 변화된 디지털환경에서 더욱 전문성을 유지하기 위해서는, 문자의 읽고 쓰기와 이미지를 더 깊이 다룰 수 균형 감각이 시대적으로 필요하다. 본 연구는 문자와 이미지의 의미와 상관성, 인문학적인 견해, 그리고 의미의 서술방식 측면을 연구하였다. 이를 위해 R. 마그리트의 ‘단어와 이미지’의 관계를 그의 작품과 비교 연구했고, 시각언어로써 단어와 이미지를 동등하게 예술적 이상인 꿈, 무의식을 설명하고 있다는 점에 주목했다. 연구를 통해 얻은 결과는 첫째, 단어와 이미지는 쓰거나, 그리는 것으로 시각적이다. 둘째, 항상 의미를 내포하고 있으며, 셋째, 디자이너와 예술가는 자신의 사고를 나타내기 위하여 이것들로 기술한다는 점이다. 이 결과로부터 얻은 결론은 마그리트 작품의 화법은 ‘단어와 이미지로 만들어진 텍스트 구조의 내레이션이다’는 결론에 도달했다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Most visual artists have been focusing on the "image making."However, to maintain the knowledge in this fast changing digital era, it has become imperative to understand the importance of reading and writing to handle the image in more comprehensive and balanced manner. This study is focused on the correlation between words and the meaning of images, opinions from humanity point of view, and from the narration aspect. To undertake this study, the relationship between R. Magritte's "words and images"and his work has been compared, and took notice of the fact that as visual language the words and images were explained in equal manner, the dream and unconsciousness. The results of study were as follows: first, words and images are visual as it entails writing and drawing; second, it always involves implication of meaning; and third, designers and artists express their feelings through these methods. In conclusion, the works of Magritte signifies the "narration of test structure consisting of words and images.
