환경NGO와 기업간 상호관계의 영향요인

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구의 목적은 환경NGO와 기업간 상호관계의 영향요인을 밝히는데 있다. 먼저 이론적 토대로서 자원의존이론을 적용하여 NGO와 기업간 관계를 상호의존관계, NGO우위의 의존관계, 기업우위의 의존관계, 상호독립관계로 유형화한다. 이러한 관계는 NGO와 기업간 자원의 교환을 통해 형성되는데, NGO와 기업의 자원은 정치적, 경제적, 사회적 환경에 영향을 받는다고 보고 관계의 영향요인으로 선정한다. 그리고 백두대간보전회와 라파즈한라시멘트의 관계와 광양환경운동연합과 포스코의 관계를 사례로 선정하여 분석한 결과, 상호의존관계, NGO우위의 의존관계, 상호독립관계가 발견되었고, 상호의존관계와 NGO우위의 의존관계는 환경운동에 대한 정치적ㆍ사회적 지지에 영향을 받는 반면 상호독립관계는 환경문제에 대한 정치적ㆍ사회적 무관심과 기업의 지역경제적 지배력이 작용하는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to establish the influencing factors of relationship between environmental NGOs and corporations. First of all, as a theoretical basis the relationship between NGOs and corporations were classified by the resource dependence theory as patterns including mutual dependency relationship, NGO-dominant dependency relationship, corporation-dominant relationship, and mutual independency relationship. These relationships were formed through the exchange of resources between NGOs and corporations, and the resources of NGOs and corporations were selected to be an influencing factor of relationship, under the consideration that the resources of NGOs and corporations may be affected by political, economic, and social environments. When the relationships between the Baekdudaegan Preservation Association and Lafarge Halla Cement, and between the Gwang Yang Federation for Environmental Movement and POSCO were analyzed as appropriate cases, mutual dependency relationship, NGO-dominant dependency relationship, and mutual independency relationship were shown. In this study, mutual dependency relationship and NGO-dominant dependency relationship were affected by the political and social support on environmental movements, while mutual independency relationship was affected by the political and social indifference on environmental movements and the local-economic control of corporations.
