This paper describes results in stability evaluation for lateral movements of bridge abutment on soft ground. The potential for lateral movements of field cases are was great even though the strength increment ratio according to pre-loading and a pile construction are considered on soft ground. Therefore, the stability for lateral movements of bridge abutment can be satisfied when the ground improvement methods with a pile are applied based on consideration of soil condition. That is, the lateral movement of piles with composite ground should be analyzed.
