김산･님 웨일즈의 "아리랑"과 재일코리안 = Kim San and Nym Wales’ Ariran and Zainichi Koreans

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In 1941, American journalist Nym Wales published Song of Ariran. After that, the Zainichi Korean society showed a lot of interest in Kim San and Nym Wales. Starting with Japanese translation in 1953, she had constantly engaged in activities related to Ariran until the 1960s. Since the late 1980s, the discourse of Ariran has been embodied in various forms such as local interviews, Ariran theory, novel translation, bibliographical notes, and books. Such activities resolved doubts in Ariran and revealed new historical facts that have not been revealed before.
The influence of the Ariran discourse by Zainichi Koreans spread to Korea. Since the late 1980s, materials related to Ariran in Zainichi Korean society have been translated and included in various magazines and books in Korea. Afterwards, new facts related to Kim San and Ariran became known to Korean society, which affected the academia and civil society.
In Zainichi Korean society, Kim San and Ariran was expanded into the history of East Asia where the Korean Peninsula, China, and Japan are involved, not just the history of the Korean people. Also, by involving Nym Wales in the discourse, it takes shape in an international form that includes the United States. At this point, it can be seen the intention and move of the Zainichi Korean society that tried to make it into an international discourse involving the Korean Peninsula, the United States, China, and Japan beyond the Korean people. This shows the international value and influence of the Ariran discourse by Zainichi Koreans in general.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

1941년 저널리스트 님 웨일즈(Nym Wales)는 미국에서 󰡔아리랑의 노래(Song of Ariran)󰡕을 출간한다. 󰡔아리랑󰡕 출간 이후, 재일코리안 사회에서는 김산과 님 웨일즈에 많은 관심을 나타냈다. 재일코리안 사회에서는 1953년 일본어 번역서 출간 참여를 시작으로, 1980년대 후반부터 본격적으로 󰡔아리랑󰡕 담론을 형성했다. 담론은 현지 인터뷰, 󰡔아리랑󰡕론, 소설 번역, 해제, 단행본 등 다양한 형태로 구체화됐다. 재일코리안 사회에서는 이와 같은 활동을 통해 󰡔아리랑󰡕의 의문점을 해결하고 기존에 밝혀지지 않았던 새로운 역사적 사실을 규명하고 일본 사회에 영향을 주었다.
재일코리안의 󰡔아리랑󰡕 담론은 한국에 영향을 준다. 한국에서는 1980년대 후반부터 재일코리안 사회에서 발행된 각종 󰡔아리랑󰡕 자료들을 번역해 각종 잡지와 단행본에 수록한다. 번역 이후 한국 사회에는 김산과 󰡔아리랑󰡕의 역사와 새로운 사실이 알려지며 학계와 시민사회에 직접적 영향을 끼친다.
재일코리안 사회의 󰡔아리랑󰡕 담론은 김산을 우리 민족만의 역사가 아닌 한반도, 중국, 일본이 개입된 동아시아의 역사로 확장시킨다. 이밖에도 님 웨일즈를 참여시킴으로써 미국이 포함된 보다 국제적 형태로 구체화한다. 이 지점에서 우리 민족을 넘어 한반도, 미국, 중국, 일본이 개입된 국제적 담론으로 김산과 󰡔아리랑󰡕을 만들고자 했던 재일코리안 사회의 양상을 확인할 수 있다. 이를 통해 재일코리안의 󰡔아리랑󰡕의 국제적 가치와 문화적 영향력을 총체적으로 확인할 수 있다.
