다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper is concerned with the necessity of the basic knowledge of the Korean linguistics for foreigners studying Korean language and literature. Up to now it has been a general viewpoint that the study on literature in its own firm territory needs not to be confined to the linguistic ground. But this paper maintained the emphasis on the linguistic knowledge for studying and lecturing literature because the mediator of literature is fundamentally the language. For this concerns especially I chose the concept of defamiliarization. This concept of the defamiliarization derived from the Formalism is expected to meet the fundamental condition of being literature. And this familiarization impacts on our ordinary language to alienate the usual and conventional language in order to renew the production of meaning of the text. Such phenomena of language from its impacts and deviations are most clearly studied by the knowledge on linguistics. Therefore, in this debate, such a problem is described concerning works of the Korean modern literature, especially of the poetic works.
