웹기반 강의시스템 설계 및 구현 : 제7차 교육과정의 정보사회와 컴퓨터 교과목 중심

Now We live in a knowledge and information-oriented society where the globalization is going on rapidly. In this era, the amount of information is increasing explosively and the digitalization and integration of information is accelerating according to the development of ICT(Information Technology and Communication Technology), and the world is connected into one village by network. So all the countries in the world are under limitless competition to develop the knowledge and information industries because the fate and prosperity of a country depends on the efficient utilization of such knowledge and information.
To survive in this knowledge and information-oriented society, raising the competent people with creativity and self-initiated learning ability is the most necessary step to all countries. Thus, not the existing educational system providing the simple transmission and acquisition of knowledge but a new educational system for a new era is now required. This kind of change is possible only through the efficient application of ICT and the development of teaching and learning materials utilizing ICT is necessary. And it is also necessary to improve the existing textbooks which contain the fundamental teaching and learning materials. That is to say, as the existing textbooks are not good enough to acquire and utilize the new flooding knowledge, new textbooks utilizing ICT are in great demand.
Nowadays internet is familiar to most students and they can play games, make friends and get more profound knowledge on line. Especially the information technology based on the web has the merit of providing various teaching and learning models. By designing and realizing the efficient lecture system for the information-oriented society using the advantage of the web, I want to provide the students with the fast changing knowledge and also give the teachers the handiness of making and editing the new textbooks based on the web.
The design and realization of the lecture system based on the web the pedagogical theory for teaching and learning activities and as specific technology, I used web programing languages and query languages such as ASP, HTML, Java Script, MS-SQL, etc. These languages were very convenient in not only putting all the materials of textbooks into database but also reediting and using the database after I realized the lecture system based on the web.
The designed and realized lecture system is focused on the subject "information society and computer" set in the 7th curriculum and can be applicable to other subjects. In selecting the contents of the lecture system, I took students easy self-study into consideration and I tried to help them get more specific information through hyperlink. Also, as the existing textbook is intended to be used until the curriculum is over, it is impossible to add new contents to the textbook or to reedit any contents in the books. But As for the new lecture system including the electronic textbooks based on the web, teachers can reedit the contents and add new contents to the lecture system. Moreover, students can use the lecture system not only in the classroom but also in any place and that is another quality of the lecture system.
The purpose of this research is to present the model of the lecture system based on the web and reflecting the needs of the times which I am sure is necessary in the classroom. Any way, I hope this lecture system will be a good motivation for students and hereafter better lecture system based on the web will be developed and acquire the authentication from the government and be very useful in education.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리는 세계화가 빠르게 진행되는 21세기 지식정보사회에서 살고 있다. 이 시대는 정보의 양이 폭발적으로 증가하고, 정보통신기술(ICT, Information Technology & Communication Technology)의 발전에 따른 정보의 디지털화와 통합화가 가속화되고 있으며, 세계가 하나의 네트워크로 묶여있다. 이에 세계 각 국은 무한 경쟁을 벌이고 있으며, 지식과 정보를 얼마나 빠르고 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는가에 따라서 국가와 개인의 흥망성쇠가 결정되게 된다.
이러한 지식 정보사회에서 살아남기 위해서는 창의력, 문제 해결력, 자기 주도적 학습 능력을 지닌 우수한 인재를 양성하는 것이 무엇보다 필요하다. 따라서 기존의 교육 체제에서 제공하는 단순한 지식의 전달 및 습득이 아닌 새로운 시대에 맞는 교육 방식이 필요한 것이다. 이러한 변화는 ICT의 효과적인 적용을 통해서 가능하며 이를 위해 ICT를 활용한 교수-학습 자료의 개발이 필요하고 기본적인 교수-학습 자료인 교과서를 개선할 필요가 있다. 즉 기존의 교과서 제도로는 폭주되는 지식을 습득하고 활용하는 데 어렵기 때문에 ICT를 활용한 새로운 교과서를 포함한 효율적인 강의 시스템이 필요한 것이다.
요즘 인터넷은 거의 모든 학생들의 생활에 깊숙이 들어 와 있다. 인터넷상에서의 게임은 물론이고 친구를 사귀는 것도 더 깊은 지식을 얻고자 하는 마음도 모두 인터넷상에서 해결하려 한다. 특히 웹을 이용한 정보기술은 다양한 학습 유형을 실현할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 웹의 장점을 이용해 정보화 사회에 맞는 웹 기반의 강의 시스템을 설계 및 구현함으로 인해 학습자에게는 빠르게 변화하는 지식과 세상의 동향을 알려 주고 교사들에겐 웹 기반 교과서와 웹을 통한 강의 내용을 작성·편집하는 데 편리함을 주고자 한다.
웹 기반 강의 시스템을 설계 및 구현하는 데 있어서 교수-학습의 교육학적 이론과 전자교과서의 개념 및 개발 사례 등의 이론적 배경들을 필요로 하였고 구현 기술로서 ASP, HTML, Java Script, MS-SQL 등의 웹프로그래밍 언어 및 질의어들을 사용하였다. 이들 언어들은 웹 기반의 강의 시스템을 구현함에 있어서 교과서 내의 모든 자료들을 데이터베이스화하는 것을 가능하도록 하였으며, 데이터베이스화된 자료를 사용하고 재편집함에 있어 편리함을 주었다.
설계 구현된 웹 기반 강의 시스템은 7차 교육과정의 정보사회와 컴퓨터 교과목을 중심으로 하였으며 다른 교과목에도 확장 적용할 수 있다. 또한 교과서 항목의 설정에 있어서 학생들의 자발적인 학습을 가능하도록 하였으며, 하이퍼링크를 통하여 필요한 부분에 대한 상세 설명이 가능하도록 하였다. 또한 기존 인쇄 매체의 교과서는 한 교육과정이 끝날 때까지 사용해야 하는 점에서 새로운 내용의 추가나 기존 내용의 편집이 불가능하였으나 웹 기반 전자교과서를 포함한 웹 기반 강의 시스템은 교사들의 의견을 거쳐 내용의 추가나 편집이 가능하다. 특히 웹 기반 강의 시스템은 교실 안에서만 학습이 이루어지는 것이 아니라 때와 장소에 관계없이 학습이 이루어질 수 있다는 특징을 갖고 있다.
본 연구는 시대적 요구를 반영하여 교육현장에서 필요로 하는 웹 기반 강의 시스템의 모형을 제시하고자 하는 것이다. 아무쪼록 학생들이 학습하는 데 있어 좋은 동기 자원이 되기를 바라며, 향후 더욱 발전된 웹 기반 강의 시스템이 개발되어 교육현장에서 사용되었음 하는 바램이다.
